Technical Assistance

We are the leading FORTIFIED technical assistance provider in the country. We help clients at every stage, from early planning through implementation, and bring subject matter expertise across construction, insurance, housing finance, and disaster recovery policy.

Training and Continuing Education

SHA is an approved continuing education provider for insurance agents, adjusters, real estate licensees, contractors, architects, and code officials across multiple states. We offer courses on beyond-code construction, FORTIFIED standards, insurance and mitigation, and resilience planning, with and without CE credit.


Resilience Planning and Policy

We help communities and governments develop the tools and policies they need to act. That includes drafting legislation, advising on building code adoption, supporting grant program development, and providing technical input on housing finance criteria that incentivize resilient construction.
