Technical Assistance
We are the leading FORTIFIED technical assistance provider in the country. We help clients at every stage, from early planning through implementation, and bring subject matter expertise across construction, insurance, housing finance, and disaster recovery policy.

- One-on-one training and mentorship for nonprofit and for-profit developers adding FORTIFIED to their workflows
- Pre-development support for commercial and multifamily projects
- Curriculum development for private and public technical programs
- Expert guidance on state and federal recovery and mitigation funding, including HUD GRRP, CDBG-DR, CDBG-MIT, and FEMA BRIC

Training and Continuing Education
SHA is an approved continuing education provider for insurance agents, adjusters, real estate licensees, contractors, architects, and code officials across multiple states. We offer courses on beyond-code construction, FORTIFIED standards, insurance and mitigation, and resilience planning, with and without CE credit.
Resilience Planning and Policy
We help communities and governments develop the tools and policies they need to act. That includes drafting legislation, advising on building code adoption, supporting grant program development, and providing technical input on housing finance criteria that incentivize resilient construction.
